  • Rules and Regulations:
    System of Play:The Latest FIDE Rules in force shall apply and the Swiss system will be followed.
    Mode of Tournament:Total eight rounds shall be played.
    Time Control: 90 minutes each with 30 seconds increment from move number one..
    Default timeefault time is 15 minutes. Players have to be at the boards within 15 minutes of the start round.
    Tie break :Latest tie-break system will be applied In case of tie, prizes will not be shared.
    AICF Registration and Requirements:AICF registration is compulsory. AICF Registration fee is Rs. 250/- for the year 2019 - 2020. It will be accepted only through online. Players/Arbiters registration should be done well before the start of the event. New entrants to the field of chess are informed that player’s registration is mandatory and it should be done well before participating in any tournament.     For fresh AICF registration, players are requested to keep their scanned passport size photograph and birth certificate and a valid email address (unique and not provided to fide for another player/arbiter) ready before the registration process.
    Note: Only passport size (less than 1 MB) photographs in jpeg format should be uploaded.
    TNSCA PlayerRegistration:Registration of Participants with TNSCA is compulsory for TN players and thePlayer registration fee is Rs.150/- for the year 2020-2021. The registration fee should be sent along with duly filled & signed in the TN players registration form with Date of Birth certificate copy and one passport size photograph. Those who have already paid the same must attach the proof for that, failing which they will have to pay the registration fee.
    KDCA PlayerRegistration Kancheepuram District Players registration is compulsory for KDCA players. The fee for the year 2020-2021 is Rs.100/- 0nly
    Chess Clocklayers are requested to bring their own chess clocks, if any.
    Wrist watches& Mobiles AICF has banned the wrist watches while playing in FIDE Rated events. Players are instructed not to wear wrist watches while playing. Mobiles, if brought to the hall, must be kept in a separate bag in switch off mode. Violating the rule in both cases will lead the loss of the game.
    Protestsrotests if any, against the decision of the Chief Arbiter shall be made in writing with protest fee of Rs.1000/- within 15 minutes of the occurrence of the incident to the appeals committee. The protest fee will be refunded if the appeal is upheld.
    Appeals Committee.An Appeals Committee comprising of five members plus two reserves will be formed at the players meeting. The decision of the appeals committee is final and binding on all players concerned.
    Withdrawals:A player may withdraw at any stage of the event, after informing the chief arbiter in writing
    Rights of admission:The AICF/ TNSCA /KDCA /organizer Master Mind Chess Academy / reserve the right to admit / reject any entry without assigning any reason thereof.
    The AICF/ TNSCA/KDCA organizer Master Mind Chess Academy reserve the rights of admission to the venue and lodging place.
    Lodging Dormitory type of accommodation will be given.
