  • ESSAY COMPETITION INSTRUCTIONS
    SAVE FUEL FOR BETTER ENVIRONMENT AND HEALTH
    1. Onlythose schools in India which are recognized byCentral & State Boards, can parcipate.
    2. It is mandatory forthe Schools to conduct the compeon in school premises in a fairmanner. It is requested that all
    eligible (maximum numberof) students take part in this compeon, as this is in Naonal interest.
    3. Schools to conduct Essay compeons in one or more of the following languages- Hindi, English, Assamese,
    Bengali, Gujara, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Sindhi,
    Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Maithili, Dogri, Nepali, Bodo and Santhali.
    4. Eligibility: Students of classes 7, 8, 9 & 10.
    5. One student can parcipate in onlyone language.
    6. Essay should not exceed 700 words.
    7. Student must submit essay in his/herown handwring.
    8. Topic:
    9. Time Limit: 1 Hour
    10. School is required to evaluate the entries, and upload Best two entries in each language, in which the compeon
    has been conducted at the school, on www.pcracompeons.org. Forfurtherdetails, please referto this portal.
    Alternately, please send the best two entries along with annexure 1, duly signed and stamped, to the following

    11. Compeon period: 01.07.2019 to 30.09.2019. Last entryon orbefore 30.09.2019
    12. The topic of the essay compeon may be displayed prominently, at least a week in advance. School to advise
    students to prepare in advance forthe scheduled compeon. This shall enable the parcipants to obtain relevant
    informaon from various sources. This exercise is focused on increasing awareness in young minds forthe Naonal
    cause of Conservaon of Fuel and Environment protecon, hence school is requested to ensure maximum
    parcipaon.
    13. Shortlisted students in each category will be invited for a Naonal Final round to be conducted in major cies of
    India, PCRA shall bear the expenses of travel. The 1st, 2nd, 3rd and special encouragement prizes will be decided
    basis the entries in Naonal Finals.
    IMPORTANTGUIDELINES
    1. The decision of the Jury/Expert commiee appointed by PCRA will be final and binding in respect of all maers
    concerning the compeon.
    2. Plagiarism will lead to cancellaon of entry.
    3. In case the parcipaon in a parcular language is very low, the prize winning entries shall be evaluated by an
    expert/ jury, appointed by PCRA. If the best entries do not conform to the general standard of entries in other
    languages, PCRAreserves its right to raonalize the prizes forthat parcularlanguage. The decision of PCRAin this
    regard will be final and binding.
    4. The entries submied would be the sole property of PCRA, with right to use and right to edit for any purpose it
    considers appropriate.
    5. Children of employees ofPCRAare not eligible forthe prizes.
    6. Schools should tryto hold the compeons as earlyas possible to avoid last minute rush in submission.
    7. The final results shall be announced in December 2019. The awards will be distributed during the Saksham month
    period 16.01.20 to 15.02.20.
    8. Students who have been awarded 1st, 2nd, 3rd or special encourgement prize in the last three years ofthe compe-
    on, in anyofthe categories, will not be eligible forthe 1st, 2nd,3rd or special encouragement prizes.

     
    PAINTING COMPETITION INSTRUCTIONS
    1. Onlyschools in India recognized byCentral & State Boards ofIndia, can parcipate.
    2. It is mandatory forthe Schools to conduct the compeon in school premises in a fairmanner. It is requested that all
    eligible (ormaximum numberof) students take part in this compeon, as this is in Naonal interest.
    3. Eligibility: Two categories:
    Students of classes 5, 6 & 7 (Junior)
    Students of classes 8, 9 & 10 (Senior)
    4. School to conduct compeons in anyone orboth the categories.
    5. Use onlyA3 size art sheet. The work maybe executed using pencils, pencil colours, crayons, water colours etc.
    6. Topic:
    7. Time Limit: 2 Hours
    8. School is required to evaluate the entries for each category, and upload Best two entries in each category (Junior/Senior), in which the compeon has been conducted at the school, on www.pcracompeons.org. For more

    SCHOOL QUIZ COMPETITION INSTRUCTIONS
    1. Onlyschools in India recognized byCentral & State Boards ofIndia, can parcipate.
    2. This compeon shall be conducted online through web portal www.pcracompeons.org or through PCRA/
    appointed agencypersonnel offline in select cies.
    3. It is mandatory forthe Schools to conduct the compeons in school premises in a fair manner. It is requested that
    all eligible (maximum number of) students take the online quiz, as it will add to their knowledge and is in Naonal
    interest.
    4. Eligibility: Students of classes 7,8, 9 & 10.
    5. Quesons shall pertain to Fuel Conservaon, Environment, General Studies and General Knowledge.
    6. The schools shall registerthe names of all Students against the school ID on the portal www.pcracompeons.org.
    All the students can then parcipate as Individuals in First Round.
    7. Soware will select the two best scoring parcipants, who will form the School team. For offline event the selected
    parcipants will be informed through their school.
    8. The School team (two best scoring parcipants) shall then parcipate in the second round orDistrict level round, by
    logging in the portal, in school premises itself.
    9. The best school team (winner) at District level shall be informed by email by PCRA. This team shall parcipate in
    third round bylogging in the portal, in school premises itself, to compete forbecoming State Level Winners.
    10. The State Level winners (school team) shall be invited to parcipate in offline Zonal Rounds to be held at Delhi,
    Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai, for deciding the Zonal Finalists. The date and venue shall be advised by Email to the
    schools.
    11. The Zonal Finalists will be invited to parcipate in the Naonal Finals in Delhi.
    12. PCRAshall bear expenses oftravel.
    13. The schools shall be informed / inmated about the winners at each level on the web portal itself as well as through
    emails.
    14. Compeon Period:01.07.2019 to 30.09.19 foronline Quiz compeon upto School level only
