Our memories are an integral part, but as age increases our memory declines. For many older people, the decline becomes so serious that they are no longer able to live independently, which is the biggest fear adults have.
Here are some Tips to Increase Memory:
1.Always Learn Something New:
Our Memory strength is just like muscular strength. The more we use it, it gets more stronger . But we can’t lift the same size weight every day and expect to get stronger. All we need to do is keep our brain constantly challenged. Learning a new skill is an excellent way to strengthen our brain’s memory capacity.
2.Try Acronyms, Abbreviations, And Mnemonics:
Mnemonics is the study and development of systems for improving the memory.Always try learning a new word using mnemonics so as to make our learning interesting.For E.g., colors of the spectrum can be remembered with the name ROY G. BIV (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet)
3.Construct a Mind Palace:
: Mind Palace is place in our mind a place in our mind where we can store information that we need to remember, is still relevant today. It is used not only by the world record-holding memory champions but also by famous detective Sherlock Holmes. With a little planning and practice, we can build a memory palace, too.
4.Do Not Turn To Google Right Away:
Modern technology is a boon , but unfortunately has made us “mentally lazy.” Before we reach for our phone to ask Siri or Google, make a solid attempt to retrieve the information with our mind. This process will helps reinforce the neural pathways in your brain. Staining a little to get the information will enhance our memory power.
An organized person has an easier time remembering things. Checklists are one of good tool for organization. Manually writing down our checklist (instead of doing it electronically) also increases the likelihood that will make us remember what we have written down.

8.Have a Proper Sleeping Schedule:

This can greatly improve sleep quality and will make us active for the whole day and avoid delay in the work.
