CBSE Board 10th and 12th Exam 2020- Annual Activity Schedule Released

CBSE 10th 12th Board Exam 2020 and as per the official notice shared by the board with the affiliated schools, the CBSE 10th 12th Board Exams 2020 would begin from March 2, 2020 for main examination.

CBSE Board Exam 2020 Dates Announced 

CBSE Board has formally released the detailed activity calendar or the annual activity schedule for the upcoming months. As part of the CBSE annual activity calendar, the board has also formally released the tentative examination dates for the CBSE Board Exam 2020. The calendar released by the board provides tentative examination dates for both CBSE 10th Board Exam 2020 and CBSE 12th Exam 2020. While the tentative exam dates have been announced by the board the detailed exam datasheet for CBSE Board Exam 2020 is still expected in the coming days.
 

Exam for Main Subjects in March 2020
According to the schedule released by the CBSE Board, the examinations for ancillary or smaller subjects for CBSE Board Exam 2020 will commence from February 2020 and  CBSE 10th, 12th Board Exam 2020 for Main subjects will only start in March 2020. According to the activity calendar under the point of Scheduling of Exams it read, “Board examinations for small subjects shall begin from mid February and for all major subjects and will commence from 1st working day in March every year. Exact schedule shall be notified.”

 

CBSE Board Exam 2020 Datasheet

While providing the tentative date or time period for the CBSE Board Exams 2020, the annual activity calendar has not confirmed the exact dates on which the Board exams would commence for Class 10 and Class 12 students. The actual examination dates along with the detailed subject-wise datasheet for CBSE Board Exam 2020 will be released by the Board soon, most likely in November End of December 1st Week. Until then, students are advised to start preparing for the board exams in line with the general time period of March 2020 for the upcoming board exams.
 

CBSE & NCERT launch ‘Tamanna’ Aptitude Test

In related news, CBSE and NCERT have joined their hands together to launch a unique aptitude test called ‘Tamanna’. Tamanna Aptitude Test has been designed to help Class 9 and Class 10 students to take informed career decisions based on their skill-set, interests and abilities. Tamanna Aptitude Test is an online platform that helps students identify their aptitude and skill areas including Language Aptitude, Abstract Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, Mechanical Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, Spatial Aptitude, and Perpetual Aptitude.
 
The circular states that the examination for main or major subjects would commence from the first working day of March every year and not categorically mentioned March 2. The actual dates may hence vary and all must keep a look out on website for the CBSE 10th 12th Board Exams 2020.The circular further highlights all the activities scheduled by the board and have instructed the schools to notify the students and also share important information with them. The complete date sheet or time-table for CBSE 10th 12th Board Exams 2020 is expected only by end of November or in December 2019.
 
From 2019, in order to accommodate the order of Delhi High Court, CBSE has started to conduct the vocational subjects’ board exams from the month of February. While there were reports from various sources that CBSE is mulling starting with main subjects from February, the circular states otherwise. 
 
The schedule of activities and circulars shared by the board are listed in the circular. Along the other activities CBSE has also mentioned the release of the sample question papers that pertain to the changed pattern of the CBSE 10th 12th Board Exams 2020.

Summary: CBSE has released its annual activity calendar which confirms that the main exams of CBSE 10th 12th Board Exams 2020 would begin from March.
